The PortaView 20 Junior, guest room TTY provides the hearing impaired guest with easy and direct communication using the handset of the guest room telephone. The handset of the corded guest room phone is placed into the black cups on top of the TTY. The TTY is then able to transmit and receive the electronic TTY tones over the telephone.
The TTY does not convert text to voice or voice to text and can only be used to communicate with another TTY unit. The Front Desk must have a TTY in order to directly communicate with a guest using a TTY.
The PV20JR Guest Room TTY includes a power adapter and a heavy-duty rechargeable battery.
