The PortaPrinter 2000 Standard, front desk TTY provides the front desk staff with easy and direct communication with a hearing impaired guest using a TTY.

To use the front desk TTY place the handset of the front desk telephone into the black cups on the TTY. The TTY is then able to transmit and receive the electronic TTY tones over the telephone. The built-in printer provides a complete print out of any conversation displaying capital letters for the outgoing message and lowercase for the incoming message. The printer also enables the front desk staff to ensure they have correct names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card information and room service orders.

The TTY does not convert text to voice or voice to text and can only be used to communicate with another TTY unit. The Front Desk must have a TTY in order to directly communicate with a guest using a TTY.

The PP2000 Standard Guest TTY includes a power adapter, heavy-duty rechargeable battery, and thermal printer.
